bYoRNA (Pessac, France) - TRON (Mainz, Germany)

bYoRNA is a pioneering biotech company created in 2022 by Chantal Pichon (Professor at the Université of Orléans), Pascal Viguié (entrepreneur) and Thierry Ziegler (Senior pharma industry leader). bYoRNA aims at developing a platform for the production of high-quality therapeutic mRNA in yeast. The company is based in the Bordeaux region with about 15 collaborators and established laboratories.

Contribution to ARISE
bYoRNA contributes its leading expertise in bioprocess development to ARISE, leading work packages on the adaptation of its bioprocesses to saRNA, the fermentation and purification development and on the implementation of a pilot scale process.

TRON is an independent non-profit translational research organisation founded in 2010 by Ugur Sahin, Christoph Huber and Özlem Türeci. TRON is pursuing research and development of new diagnostics and drugs for the treatment of diseases with high medical need. TRON applies transdisciplinary competencies in genomics and immunology to develop novel platforms for personalised therapies.

Contribution to ARISE

TRON contributes its deep expertise in the development of therapeutic RNA technologies to ARISE, leading work packages on replicase screening, and biological validation of the bio-produced saRNA. TRON was also part of the predecessor YSCRIPT project, providing crucial scientific continuity.
